About

I began my professional photography career as Samuels Photography in 1985 after working for five years in both the commercial brokerage and management arenas in Chicago. I immediately found that my experience of paying critical attention to the more intricate details of building design transferred well to the field of architectural photography. Over the years, many real estate professionals and business owners have taken advantage of this knowledge moving towards the successful completion of their photography marketing and display projects. I maintain a large array of camera and lighting equipment to handle the expanding requirements that today’s digital workflow environments demand.

One of the most valuable assets I offer my clients is a keen awareness how both natural and artificial lighting can affect a particular scene. These skills were acquired from years of onsite experience in every imaginable situation. Knowing how the position of the sun can enhance the appearance of a building is a key consideration that is often overlooked. Maintaining color balance while tackling the complexities of modern interior lighting systems is also essential. I instinctively take of these conditions into account in order to provide my customers with results that are balanced, photography-rich, and highly-usable for a variety of industry applications.

Beyond my photography skills and style, there is another important intangible that I always bring to a project site. It is my ability to create a friendly rapport with the decision making parties involved in order to achieve success. I also pride myself on having a true understanding of the importance of working with the tenant of a building whose space is being photographed. I evaluate each situation and use my intuition gained through experience how to capture the series of images without any disruption to business operations. It is part of the complete package of services I have to offer you.
